Monday, again.

So here it is again, Monday.

This Monday just seems to run into last week - it feels more like a Thursday or Wednesday. I ended up working yesterday due to a funeral. A sad reason for flowers - but studies show that fresh flowers lift your spirits and lighten your mood. So if in some small way, my flowers bring comfort to the family and sweet memories of their loved one, then that is what I hope to accomplish.

on a happier note ~

Are you ready - for JULY?

I can hardly believe it - next week is JULY. I mean where did June go - not to mention May????

I remember when, as a young child, of hearing people say how fast time goes by. Needless to say, I thought they were all entirely crazy - I mean, come on people, do you have any idea of how long the school year is - and how long it takes Christmas to get here - or summer? or my Birthday!!!???

Sadly, I believe that I have crossed over -

crossed over into the midset of how quickly time does indeed pass. I have become one of those adults who comments "my haven't you grown!!" to most young children that I know. And who talks about how fast time is passing.

So, yes, it IS July next week - and I plan to take time over the 4th to STOP and ENJOY and RELAX and maybe smell a few roses.

Fridays

I can remember, if I think hard enough, the days when I looked forward to Friday. You know, the whole 'whew, it's Friday' or the 'I'm so glad it's Friday - I don't haffta come into work tomorrow' or 'WHOOO-HOOO!!'

Nowadays, Friday signifies something quite different. Fridays are the gearing up- the getting ready- the day that our workroom becomes wedding central. Bouquets are being made, altar pieces arranged, corsages being put together. All in all, a beehive of activity ~ complete with worker bees.

So today is one of those Fridays ~ right now the worker bees are working on pew decorations. I am getting ready to do a large altar piece. All in preparation for tomorrow's BIG day of decorating.

Is it Sunday yet?

**note - obviously, I didn't post in a timely manner. Below are some photos of the big day. Also, to clairify, I do so enjoy my 'big days' of decorating. There is something so fullfilling about planning a design on paper and then seeing it come to life the day of the wedding.**

So this past weekend was an interesting one - what with setting up and outdoor wedding/reception in 100 degree heat - whew - can I just say that I had a lot of sympathy for everyone in their fancy dress in that heat. Yikes! Makes me glad I got married in April. I know my husband was was thankful for an April wedding rather than a June/July (he's not a fan of hot summer days)

However, on Sunday, some friends invited to go boating. What a GREAT time out on the lake - thanks M&K!!!! I sooooooo needed a day out of town, and what better way to do that than spending time on the water! It was wonderfully relaxing and we had a lot of laughs. Sorry, no pictures as I was not about to take my camera out on the lake - I'm a little to much of a clutz for that :)
